About the event

🌿 Join us for the first gathering in The Homestead Workshop Series—a collection of creative workshops designed to teach useful skills and art forms rooted in American folk traditions and the knowledge of Indigenous peoples.
🧹 Broom making is an old folk art that transforms simple natural materials into something both useful and beautiful. During The Enchanted Broom Workshop, we’ll honor that handmade tradition while creating our own decorative versions. I’ll teach you the basics of selecting a handle, bundling and securing dried pine needles, shaping the broom, and adding your personal finishing touches.
🍊 Each broom will feature a natural handle made from foraged wood, along with woodland greenery, florals, herbs, dried citrus, ribbons, and charming gold accents. Make yours rustic, elegant, wild, colorful, or completely unique—there is no wrong way to create a little magic.
🎨 Your host, Karina, is a local artist, herbalist, and former art teacher…
