Meal count means meaningful Farm Route produce portions for building meals—not complete meals. Add your own protein, rice, pasta, grains, beans, eggs, cheese, bread, or pantry staples.
2. 👩🍳 PREP FIRST: Roast the Kennebec potatoes and wash the Malabar spinach. Make the pear-persimmon relish while the potatoes cook so lunch or dinner is halfway ready.
3. 🥬 EAT ME FIRST!: Malabar spinach → cucumbers (Medium+) → green beans → scallions → ripe persimmons → ripe Baldwin pears → cooked spaghetti squash → potatoes → whole spaghetti squash.
4. ♻️ USE IT FORWARD: ROAST → BOWL → HASH → SOUP. Roast potatoes once, build the featured bowl, then carry extras into breakfast hash or soup. Medium+ can roast spaghetti squash at the same time.
5. 📅 FIVE WAYS TO BUILD YOUR MEALS
1. Garden harvest bowl with potatoes, beans, spinach, and pear-persimmon relish.
2. Warm potato + green bean salad with scallions and pantry vinaigrette.
3. Malabar spinach and potato breakfast hash with eggs or beans.
4. Green bean, potato + spinach soup with a favorite protein.
5. Medium+: spaghetti squash with sautéed spinach and fresh cucumbers on the side.
6. 🍲 FEATURED FARM RECIPE: Garden Harvest Bowl with Pear-Persimmon Relish — your saveable recipe is on the next page.
7. 🍐 SNACK FIRST. DESSERT SECOND.: Let firm pears and persimmons ripen at room temperature. Enjoy them fresh, spoon the relish over a bowl, or sauté very ripe fruit with cinnamon.
8. 🌱 YOUR BOX ALREADY HAS A PLAN: Refrigerate ripe fruit if you need more time. Malabar spinach and green beans are tender, so use them early. Whole spaghetti squash can wait; refrigerate cooked strands and use within 3–4 days.
9. ❤️ FOOD + BODY SUPPORT: Malabar spinach, cucumbers, and green beans contribute fiber and micronutrients, while potatoes and fruit add carbohydrate, vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds. Variety across the week matters most.
10. 🌻 OUR ROOTS: Baldwin pears are suited to north and central Florida and often finish ripening after harvest. A firm pear may simply need a little time on the counter (UF/IFAS Extension).
